A deadly drone strike on a secondary school in Sudan’s White Nile province has killed at least 17 people, mostly schoolgirls, in an attack blamed on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group. The strike in Shukeiri village on Wednesday also hit a nearby health care center, wounding at least 10 others, according to Dr. Musa al-Majeri, director of Douiem hospital. The attack marks one of the deadliest single incidents in Sudan’s ongoing three-year civil war. The RSF, which has been accused of repeated strikes on civilian infrastructure, has not commented on the incident. International observers warn that such attacks targeting schools and hospitals could constitute war crimes under international law.
